HOUSE OF WONDERLAND AKA H.O.W

House of Wonderland was started by Tess in 2012. Tess’s mission was to start up a quirky jewellery brand in the heart of Edinburgh. The company now includes accessories and gifts.  In 2015 H.O.W relocated to Berwick- Upon- Tweed. Tess uses local designers and sources materials from local / independent shops.

House of Wonderland now offers the first jewellery club in the UK. It is really easy to join the club and there are a few options to choose from. If you are wanting to try the jewellery club but don’t want them monthly you can order a one of box which costs £19. If you would like to try a trial period there is a three month subscription which costs £50 and finally if you would like to receive a jewellery box every month it costs £17 per month. Every month there is a different theme and a guest designer.

I was lucky enough to have been sent a jewellery box and the month’s theme was 50’s Diner. On first inspection of the jewellery box it was filled to the brim with goodies. You certainly do get your money’s worth and more. The planning that goes into the theme for each month, the designing, the creating and sourcing a designer to feature really shows how much pride and joy that Tess puts into her business. You do get great customer service and you truly are valued as a customer. Her communication is very good and she keeps you updated with how things are going and when your box is being delivered.

As I mentioned earlier the jewellery box was filled to the brim with so many wonderful items. I hear you all asking “what was inside the box?”  In the jewellery box included:

  • Metal Vinyl Record Charm Necklace (RRP £10)
  • Vintage inspired diner large magnet (RRP £6)
  • It’s only Rock n Roll A6 art print (RRP £6)
  • Metal pink fabulous badge (RRP £5)
  • Large red hair bow from Miss Cherry Makewell (RRP £3.49)
  • Make your own burger garland kit (RRP £8)
  • Mini burger candy (RRP £1)
  • Pizza wish bracelet (RRP £4)
  • 50’s diner sticker pack (RRP £5)
  • Burger cross stich pattern from Geeky Stitching Company
  • HOW Newsletter with Miss Cherry Makewellinterview
  • A clue to next month’s theme

I personally feel that this box is a great idea and you can see how unique it is from any other monthly subscription out there. It gives you the chance to own quirky jewellery that you won’t get from the everyday shops. It is also a great opportunity for up and coming designers to showcase their designs and to gain new customers.

I have had so much fun wearing the jewellery and have had so many compliments regarding the pieces. The jewellery really does work well for day time and evening outfits. Go on and treat yourselves.

I am so excited to seewhat the other themes for the months are and I hope that you will all go check out HOUSE OF WONDERLAND and even subscribe to the jewellery club. It really is a great investment.
